Epiphone Hummingbird Artist - Limited Edition Epiphone with a nice plain pickguard. Used but super clean. Solid spruce top, mahogany back and sides and Gibson's square shoulder design. Tortoise guard is see through. Rich and loud. Tight bottom and clear top end. Gets that Beatles acoustic guitar sound like you'd expect. $369.95

2005 Gibson Southern Jumbo - Slope shouldered Southern Jumbo from 2005. Tuners upgraded to Kluson style Schallers with an 18 to 1 gear ratio. Factory installed pickup and endpin preamp sounds full and even without any onboard controls to mess up the sound acoustically. Plug it in and go. Belly up bridge and parallelogram markers are a visual blast from the past. Formerly pro owned and set up very nicely. Very minor wear. I don't think Gibson is making this model anymore except for the Kris Kristofferson signature version which is a real shame. Understated beauty and clean lines have always made the Southern Jumbo a winner. Comes with the original case. $2250.95

Takamine EG450DLX - What a nice little guitar this is! Nex body in Tobacco Sunburst with a floral pickguard gives this a Western look without the big size of a J200. Tasteful oval pearl markers accented with abalone. Versatile onboard electronics for stage use including an onboard tuner. Rich, warm sound acoustically. Mahogany back and sides. $950 list but grab this little sweetheart for only - $729.95

Hagstrom D1500 - Unusual cedar and spruce top makes this warm with a bit of zing. This guitar has the thin neck Hagstrom is famous for. Rich sounding with clear definition. Mahogany back and sides. Very nicely appointed throughout. $745 list but now a discontinued model so specially priced at only $429.95

Takamine G5403S - Nex body series guitar in a matte violin finish. Big sound for a smaller bodied guitar. Solid spruce top. Flame maple back and sides. This body size is an excellent choice for accompanying a vocalist. Doesn't have the booming bottom end that tends to fight with a vocalists range. - $469.95

1956 Gibson J50 - Whoa baby, this is such a sweet guitar it could give you diabetes! Super light and resonant. Passed down through a single family until arrived here. Pick wear is evident around the pickguard. Back in the '50's the owner poked two holes in the top to install controls for a Dearmond pop in pickup and the holes have been patched. Finish is sunk into the grain on the back and sides. Could use a fret dress or partial refret. Non-original hard case. The sound is absolutely amazing! Nails the Beatles acoustic guitar sounds we all love. I'm struggling not to keep this one. Get it quick before I decide I can't live without it. Fantastic tone!!!! - $3700.00

Takamine G340 - All laminate dreadnaught guitar. Slightly fatter neck feels comfortable with action this low. A lot of guitar for the money. Nice smooth top end but still enough boom in the bottom to keep everything sounding full and warm. $399.95 list but here it's only $299.95

Sierra SA28C - This is the only fully acoustic, no electronics guitar I can think of that's being made today with a cutaway. Yes, that is a protective plastic sheet over the pickguard. The 'guard is a nice tortoise brown under there. Grand auditorium body is super comfortable to play. The deep waist and smaller body brings everything in a little closer to the player. Mahogany back and sides. Sierra guitars are a great bang for the buck guitar maker and I'm always impressed at just how good they are in their price range. - $319.95

Sierra SDS55TS - Sequoia series Dreadnaught. All wood binding. Comfort grip tuners. Big, projecting sound. Comfortable neck feels great in your hand. Boom in the bottom with enough high mids to cut through the rest of the guys at the songwriter's pull.  - $459.95

Martin D-18V  - Made in 2008. These are nice guitars built to the old specifications. Forward shifted scalloped bracing and the through belly saddle just like Martin made them in the '30's. This one got a face full of shrapnel as it was stored behind glass when theives tried to steal it from the original store it was in. Top has been refinished poorly. There are some "fish-eyes" in the finish that could be block sanded and polished out. Has a pricey K&K pickup installed. Sounds great and plays great but in the right light the fish-eyes are fairly noticeable. Original HSC included. - $2059.95

Ralph Prather Handbuilt - I love a good story and this guitar has one. Guitar got traded in to my shop with no information as to what it was. It's signed inside "R.L. Prather Vinegrove KY". It's also dated on the neck block "5-83". Took a lot of research and messing about but I finally located Ralph Prather alive and well and sitting on his porch in Vinegrove Kentucky. This is the 3rd guitar he built out of a total of 6. Ralph wanted a Martin D-18 and couldn't afford one so he decided to build one. He ordered all the best wood he could get, built his own jigs and this is the result. Not a trained luthier the guitar has some rustic charm to it. Chunky neck, non adjustable truss rod (like an old Martin) herringbone trim and so on. All I can tell you is it turned out nice. Ralph worked at Fort Knox most of his life and neither he nor I have any idea how this ended up on the West Coast of Canada. Ralph is now 68 years old and still plays one of the guitars he built. Great guitar with an even better story. Cool!! $999.95

Takamine EG5403S - Beautiful NEX bodied Takamine with a natural sounding pickup system and a built in tuner. Great stage guitar for the singer songwriter crowd or the hobby player that wants to plug in and discover some new tonal possibilities. Flame maple back and sides, velvety smooth tuners and a deep red satin finish. Sounds warm and rich. - $589.95

1960's Kent 12 - Cool old '60's Made in Japan 12 string. Faux mother of ski lodge sort of finish on the back and sides that looks like an attempt at trying to paint wood grain. Celluloid pick guard, trapeze tailpiece makes it somewhat cooler but the rich woody tone of the plywood construction brings you back to reality. Actually, it doesn't sound bad. Extra holes in it from a soundhole pickup at one time and the jack is still there. Get your headband and patculi oil and learn some protest songs. - $100.00

Late '40's S.S. Stewart Archtop - Beautiful black original finish with the deluxe checkerboard type binding. Kluson tail piece and re-buttoned original Kluson tuners. Made by Kay. A whopping 17" lower bout and a big chunky neck add up to BIG tone and sound. Warm but cutting. Super cool rockabilly rhythm guitar will make you look like Gene Vincent and sound like Cliff Gallup. Okay, maybe not. At least grow some sideburns and learn to curl your lip. You'll thank me later. - $500.00

If you need more detailed pictures of anything you see here email gtrman@shaw.ca or call us at 778-294-1088 for an in hand description. - Robbie.

Sierra SD35CE - Part of Sierra's Alpine Series this is a great performance guitar that won't break the bank. Sexy Limo Black finish and a Barcus Berry pickup system. Plenty of tone and projection acoustically too. Hard to beat at this price. - $369.95

Breedlove Passport OM/SM  - Sweet satin finish Breedlove OM size guitar delivers the goods. Big sound for an OM bodied guitar. Really comfy neck. Mahogany back and sides makes this a warm sounding guitar. Very woody with clean singing high notes. Nicely balanced. Open back grovers and a scarf joint in the heastock means stable tuning. Comes with a gig bag. - $459.95

Comes with a hardcase. $474.95

Takamine EG511SSC - Satin finish performer's workhorse guitar. Killer pickup system offers tons of control over your electric sound and the built in tuner is fast, accurate and super convenient. Big dreadnaught acoustic sound. Tight grained  mahogany back and sides and tasteful herringbone trim and rosette. Nice "go to" guitar for stage use. Quality build and great sound. - $659.95

Tonemaster - I've been at this a long time and I have never run across one of these before. Kind of a mystery. Although not apparent in the photo, front is VERY lacquer checked. I'm not sure where this is from but has a few details that resemble the Dutch made Egmond acoustics. Could be European but maybe not. Educated guess says probably late '50's or early '60's. Mystery wood and a chunky sort of shaped neck. Construction looks like a budget guitar but it sounds not bad. Maybe you know what it is? Cool old guitar whatever it is. Steal it for only $150.00

'60's Eko Nylon String - Italian Studio L model bubble back Eko nylon string guitar from the '60's. Back has some fairly significant cosmetic scratches but structurally sound. Could use a new nut of the correct width as the current one is a bit narrow. Functions fine as it is though. $79.95

Beaver Creek 12 String - Big sounding 12 string guitar. Sound is so rich it's probably fattening. Has a Shadow pickup system installed. Cutaway design lets you show off those way up the neck licks you've been working on. Comes with a gigbag. Get some little square sunglasses and look and sound like McGuinn. To every season, turn, turn, turn... $334.95

Takamine TF241DLX - Pro Series Takamine Jumbo. Cool tube preamp and palathetic pickup sound as natural as you can get. Big body equals big sound acoustically and this sound is faithfully reproduced by the pickup system. Grand Piano black finish and an abalone rosette are a classy combination. Understated elegance and wonderful sound. Includes a hardcase. $2299.00 list but this one got a couple of very small dings here in the shop so only $1495.95

Yamaki AY471S - Early '70's? Yamaki 12 string. Solid cedar top and laminated mahogany back and sides. Nice old Japanese guitar with decent action for a 12 string. Big ringing warm tone. Really gets the sound you'd want in a 12. Nicely patinated finish with the bumps and bruises you'd expect on a guitar of this age. I remember when these first came out and even then they were good bang for the buck. This one still is. Comes with a chipboard case from the same era. - $325.00

Martin OOO-28EC - Get yourself unplugged. Eric Clapton signature model Martin from 2008. Second one of these that I've had and this one is even better than the first one. Really starting to blossom very nicely. Finish is the colour of thick buckwheat honey running down a steaming biscuit at the breakfast table and the sound matches. Thick and rich and warm. Just not as gooey.  A wonderful small bodied Martin for those that do hear the difference. Original Martin case included. $2950.00

Beaver Creek 12 String - Big 12 string sound from this spruce topped, mahogany back and sides dreadnaught acoustic. Been used a bit and shows some wear and minor scratches but nothing serious. Sealed tuners and a comfortable neck. Get your John Phillips licks happening and find yourself some mamas and another papa. Chinchilla hat optional but striped pants are recommended. - $120.00

Sierra SAS30CE - This is a killer little guitar for the money. Rosewood back and sides and a solid spruce top. Electronics by Barcus Berry including the Realm III preamp. Bone nut and saddle. Auditorium sized body. Love it! $679.95 list but here it's only $529.95

1988 Guild JF30-12 - These are my favourite 12 string guitars period! Big, blonde and articulate. Drop dead beautiful flame maple back and sides provide the zing and the jumbo body and tight spruce top gets the boom. Clean, one owner example. AMAZING sounding guitar. Comes with it's original arch top hard shell case. These don't come up very often as usually anyone that is fotunate enough to have one, keeps it. Here's your chance! - $1499.95
